Kat Florence opens first store in London

Innovative jewellery brand Kat Florence has followed up on its its online sales success by opening a few days ago its first mono-brand store in London’s Mayfair district, at 13a Grafton Street. Jewellery designer Kat Florence is specialised in working with rare and extremely colourful gems, and her highly original creations are set to revolutionise the jewellery world.

The new London shop will showcase her vivid style within luxury interiors, with an atmosphere that is however very different from that of traditional jewellery stores. It feels instead like an atelier, where customers can learn how rough gemstones are transformed into jewels.

Experts will in fact visit the store each month, holding workshop sessions to explain how their expertise plays a key role in manufacturing jewels. The first expert featured at the London store will be renowned Israeli gem cutter Dror Kaki.

Among the brand's collections, the most distinctive is the 'Exquisite' collection, featuring rings, earrings and necklaces created by Kat Florence using tanzanite, tourmaline and morganite stones combined with grade D diamonds.

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is the brand's ambassador, and will collaborate with Kat Florence on future collections. The two will work together also on charity auctions and other projects for the foundation created by Kat in 2015 to help children in need. The foundation's first project was in favour of a school in earthquake-affected Nepal.
