John Lewis, the British department store retailer, is opening a new store in Chelmsford on September 29. The store will anchor the new Bond Street development and have over 65,000 products.

The store's focus will be on fashion and beauty. Out of all of John Lewis' small full-line department stores, this one will have the largest beauty hall, measuring 7,900 sqft. Located on the store's ground floor, as beauty halls traditionally are, it will have 14 premium beauty counters. Brands include Charlotte Tilbury, M.A.C, Nars, Tom Ford, Bobbi Brown, Clarins, Clinique, Dior, Estee Lauder, Jo Malone, Lancome, Liz Earle, Urban Decay and YSL.

The new store will also sell John Lewis' brand new luxury womenswear label, Modern Rarity, as well as Ralph Lauren, Finery, Mulberry, Michael Kors, Whistles, Trilogy, REISS and Diesel among other brands. The Chelmsford store will also have a John Lewis Personal Styling team.

The department store retailer has 46 John Lewis shops across the UK, 32 of which are department stores. It recently announced that it is launching a dedicated area in its shops that will sell locally designed and made products from all across the UK.
