The investment was led by Piper, the UK’s leading specialist investor in consumer brands, which contributed £14 million to the business, and US consumer specialist Winona Capital, which invested £6m to help accelerate the brand’s growth in the US.

The affordable luxury brand, known for its friendship bracelets and vibrant gemstones, was founded in 2007 by Monica Vinader. Some of its high profile customers include The Duchess of Cambridge, English actress Kate Winslet, The Danish Girl star Alicia Vikander and style icon Olivia Palermo.

Monica Vinader said: "We undertook a rigorous review of potential partners we could work with on our next stage of growth.  It was the passion that Piper and Winona demonstrated for our brand and our growth ambitions that really appealed to us."

The company has three standalone stores in London’s Chelsea, Mayfair and Canary Wharf, and a rapidly growing global footprint in the US and Asia, where its jewellery designs can be found in department stores. In the last three years, Monica Vinader’s turnover has trebled to reach £23 million.
