Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson has opened the world’s largest store for J.W. Anderson ready-to-wear, accessories and jewellery within the Designer Studio. The flagship boutique covers 50 square metres of space on the second floor of the Oxford Street store, where directional brands such as Joseph, Marni, Christopher Kane and Vetements have also opened boutique concepts.

The store is framed by a panelled wall in rainbow colours and a series of rectangular bronze frames that are used to present product, while the fitting room takes direct inspiration from the brand’s Resort 17 look book.

Pre and main collections are presented alongside an assortment of lifestyle products, including art and photography books, notebooks and patchwork blankets that use Ian David Barker photography.

“J.W.Anderson is an essential label within any world-class fashion offer. We are thrilled to have worked with Jonathan to create this new space to present both his collections, and his ideas,” says Heather Gramston, Selfridges’ Womenswear Buying Manager.

The opening marks the final phase of the Designer Studio, which launched its first phase in July 2016. The retail space houses over 60 international labels and 5 boutique concepts, presenting for the first time in Selfridges’ history a mix of contemporary and luxury labels together across one floor.
