Inditex has opened its first online store for the Turkish market this week with the launch of Zara’s e-commerce platform.

Zara

The Spanish group plans to add online sales for its other brands, including Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho and Zara Home, from 13 October.

The launches mark an important milestone for the group in the country, where it is present since 1989 and has over 189 stores in cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Antalya.

The digital launches are part of Inditex’ offline/online store integration strategy, which has seen each brand introduce the full range of products both in stores and online at the same price. Customers can choose between collecting their orders at the store of their choice and at-home delivery, as well as manage their purchases and returns online.

The online stores, designed to offer a user friendly shopping experience, are available both via websites and from the brand’s app. The online stores are configured to enable purchasing from any mobile device, using any browser.

So far this year, Inditex has introduced its e-commerce platform into a number of new markets, including Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and the Czech Republic. This debut takes the number of markets where the group operates online stores to 41.
