Joining the increasing number of retailers offering expanded delivery services, Habitat said customers can now have over 3,000 small products from the Habitat collection such as lighting, small flat-pack furniture, textiles, tableware and decorative accessories, delivered to DPD pickup collection sites.

The launch follows a major upgrade of the Habitat website 18 months ago as the retailer’s online customer base continues its rapid growth. Over 60% of the company’s sales now originate online.

“The way our customers want to shop with us is changing and we’ve worked hard at evolving our digital offer at pace to meet this demand,” commented Habitat MD Clare Askem, adding that the click & collect service “makes sound business sense.”

“Our customers increasingly want speed, flexibility and choice and our aim is to develop the Habitat brand into a multi-channel business for the digital age, more accessible to an increasingly online customer base and to provide a flexible delivery proposition that works around modern life.”

The service is available from 2,300 DPD pickup collection sites including over 200 Sainsbury’s supermarkets, as well as Habitat’s own stores in London, Leeds and Edinburgh.
