Gant has arrived in Milan with an impressive flagship store. The ready-to-wear sportswear line for both men and women has opened a 350-square-meter flagship store at address No. 26 Via Manzoni, almost opposite the Giorgio Armani hotel and the famous brand's concept store in the city’s ultimate luxury neighborhood.

The store is all the more visible for its four large windows on four floors overlooking the Via Manzoni, a high, vertical building sandwiched between an 18th-century church and a 19th-century palace.

The building was built at the beginning of the last century to bridge the gap between these two old structures. The building owners tasked architects Storage Associati to renovate the building without changing its essence.

The store layout was designed specifically for the Milan location and relies on traditional materials like wood and aged brass, with paneled walls hand-painted in white in the tradition of New England architecture in the United States.

The interior decor mixes vintage and new classic. A light-well spanning the entire structure lets in natural light throughout the store.

Gant's menswear collection is located on the ground floor. The next floor up houses womenswear, followed by products for the home and the top floor featuring the Gant Rugger line.

While Gant’s roots are in the U.S., the company is now based in Sweden and owned by the Swiss group Maus Frères since 2008.
