Howies, a Welsh clothing brand with a sustainable focus, has appointed Unify Brand Partnerships as its sole UK agent to support the expansion of its wholesale business.

The move builds on Howies’s return to the wholesale market in 2016. The brand has been supplying to a mix of multiples and independents, and is now targeting 20 new accounts for SS19 with help of Unify Brand Partnerships.

The companies will start working together from June onwards with Howies’ SS19 fashion and active collections.

“Wholesale has now grown to a size where we need a partner who can support our existing accounts, respond more quickly to new enquiries and approach new stores we’d like to work with,” commented Howies sales director Ade Gunn-Wilson.

“Damian and his team understand our brand ethics and they have the people who will increase our reach. On top of that, Unify are based on our side of the Severn Bridge. With consumers so focused on buying products that have an environmental story we are excited to be getting Unify’s support to seed our range into more stores.”

The West Wales company sells men’s and women’s clothing made from organic cotton and other sustainable materials.

Unify is also based in Wales. The sport and fashion agency and distribution business represents a diverse range of brands, and works with a number of leading regional sales agencies throughout the UK and Ireland. The business was founded in 2004 by Damian Cooper.
