In his new role, Baxter will lead Splendid and 7 for All Mankind, which were acquired by Delta Galil from VF Corp in 2016 and share an LA-based history and heritage.

Baxter's accomplishments at Macy's include forging licensing deals with Finish Line and Sunglass Hut, as well as launching Macy's first private label active and athleisure brand, Ideology. He also led strategic partnerships with Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.

He replaces Paula Schneider who previously held the CEO role for seven months before resigning last year. Schneider brought CEO experience from American Apparel and also from her role as president at Warnaco Swimwear Group.

"We see tremendous opportunity to grow through category expansion and new global markets,” said Isaac Dabah, chief executive officer of Delta Galil in a release.

Baxter will work out of both New York and Los Angeles, to be closer to the brands he will lead. He holds his Bachelor's Degree in business psychology from Miami University. He currently sits on the Board of the Ronald McDonald House and is also an Advisory Board Member of Wharton's Jay Baker School of Retailing.

His appointment is effective immediately.
