Danish outerwear brand Rains opens first store in Aarhus

Rains, a Danish brand specialising in rainwear, has opened its first concept store in Denmark’s Aarhus. The site, spreading across two floors and 170 sq mts of space, reflects the iconic Scandinavian design aesthetic and carries the brand’s full line of rainwear, bags and accessories.

The label launched in 2012 with the mission of reinterpreting outerwear with a reimagined raincoat. Inspired by Scandinavian weather and the design codes of the Nordic countries, the brand aims to create clothes that are modern and comfortable.

The current AW16 collection explores the concepts of layering and oversized silhouettes with jackets that fit perfectly with Rains bags and accessories. According to the brand, the colour palette draws its inspiration from ethnic layers of Nordic societies.

Rains is stocked at several retailers across the world, including Fenwick’s, John Lewis and Hackett.
