Daniella Helayel creates collection for Monsoon

Daniella Helayel, who founded the Issa London brand in 2003, has created a new collection for Monsoon, the British high street fashion brand.

The capsule collection contains 15 pieces and is described as "glamorous and timeless without compromising on style." The capsule collection includes belted wrap dresses in varying lengths, and with a vintage feel. The collection starts at £89 for Helayel's striped Luana shirt, and goes up to £149 for a maxi dress.

Helayel, who says her aesthetic is effortless, timeless and glamourous, told Monsoon: "My design philosophy has always been to make all women feel comfortable and confident whilst looking effortlessly elegant, chic and seductive." Her designs for the retailer feature two colourways, "cool blues and greens which would look fantastic on blondes, and warmer pinks and corals which I picture on women with darker skin", Helayel explains.

The collection is available in Monsoon stores and online now. The retailer has had a bit of a bad run recently, and has decided to close shops that have both its Monsoon and Accessorize brands under one roof, since they target different age groups.
