In the midst of the holiday shopping season, Crocs has just announced the company’s expansion into Puerto Rico as part of its globalisation strategy. Opening this month, the Plaza Las Americas store, located in Hato Rey, and Plaza Carolina store, located in San Juan, join the Barceloneta and Old San Juan locations, which opened earlier this year to mark our first retail venture into Puerto Rico.

Retail sales have played a key role in the company’s growth strategy this year, posting a 35 percent year over year revenue increase in the third quarter of 2010. The new Puerto Rico stores allow the company to merchandise its 250 styles with a mix of full-price and factory direct products, while also introducing the brand to another international community.

Crocs shoes are sold in more than 125 countries and the company currently expects to operate more than 400 company owned retail stores in shopping destinations around the globe by year-end.
