His arrival at the head of the association coincides with the launch of the first Forum dedicated to footwear, which will be taking place this September 4th in Rome, in conjunction with the last day of Italian trade fair theMicam.

Cleto Sagripanti left his family footwear company Manas last year to found the company Italian Holding Moda (IHM), with the aim of creating a cluster of small accessories brands representative of Made in Italy. For 4 years the dynamic businessman presided over Assocalzaturifici, the Italian footwear association.

Succeeding him as the president of Assocalzaturifici is Annarita Pilotti, Managing Director of the Loriblu shoe brand. The only candidate in the running, she is expected to be elected during the election that will follow the annual assembly on 9 June in Milan.
