Clarks appoints new chief financial officer

High street footwear label Clarks has announced that Paul Kenyon will be joining the company as its new chief financial officer, effective August. He will succeed interim CFO Mike Coley.

Kenyon has held a variety of senior-level financial roles at companies including Nomad Foods Limited and Iglo Goods Holdings Limited. Before his time at the Iglo Group, he held a series of senior roles at AstraZeneca plc, such as chief financial officer for AstraZeneca’s global commercial business, senior vice president, group finance and for a period, chairman of AstraTech.

His early career included a series of senior finance roles at Allied Domecq plc, and other positions at Mars Incorporated, and Courtaulds plc.

Mike Shearwood, chief executive officer of Clarks said of the appointment: "Paul brings a wealth of senior financial experience gained in complex international businesses. He has a deep understanding of product and customer, understands the complexity of operating within a multi-national manufacturing business and associated supply chain, and has managed significant transformation programmes. The British footwear retailer is a global business operating retail, wholesale, franchise and online channels in over 100 markets worldwide through 22,000 distribution points.

The brand, founded in 1825, has an archive of more than 22,000 styles.
