Cath Kidston’s Winnie-the-Pooh range sells out in hours

The first instalment of Cath Kidston’s new collaboration with Disney, a collection featuring the iconic character Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends, has landed in stores.

Drawing interest from both Disney and vintage fashion fans, many products from the collection sold out on the first day of launch. The British brand said it experienced its biggest ever full-price sales day online, recording a record number of visits that was over 3500% higher than usual.

Cath Kidston offered a priority email club for customers interested in shopping early via a special access code.

“We have had an incredible reaction to the Winnie-the-Pooh launch online and instores,” said Sue Chidler, Marketing Director at Cath Kidston. “We saw customers previewing the Winnie-the-Pooh range from 3pm and when we opened up access to the pre-sale, numbers soared almost immediately. We are absolutely delighted by the reaction from customers and really excited about the next launch in December to the Mickey and Minnie range, which is our next collaboration.”

The Winnie-the-Pooh collection sees the iconic Disney character and his friends come to life on the brand’s signature prints. The designs across accessories, homeware, kids and fashion are available exclusively in selected Cath Kidston stores in the UK and online.

The second Disney x Cath Kidston collaboration will feature Mickey and Minie Mouse and is set to arrive in stores and online on December 5 2016. Further collections are planned to roll out over time, with the Disney characters for these future ranges to be announced in due course.
