Capsule cancels January Berlin edition

First Bread&Butter decided to forgo Berlin in January, and now so has Capsule, although for very different reasons. While Bread&Butter will try to reinvigorate things in Barcelona, Capsule, which is a much smaller show, will not be in Berlin because of scheduling reasons.

Indeed, as the 2015 edition in Berlin would be held at the same time as events in New York, it makes sense for Capsule to focus on its domestic market and its New York show. According to co-founder Edina Sultanik, the urban fashion trade event will return to Berlin in July 2015. "New York Men's Market Week has always held the third week of January. I regret the shift of the Berlin events," she says. And so events in Berlin will begin for the most part on January 19 as opposed to the 14 this year. And the international calendar will be tighter in winter. Capsule organizes editions in New York, Las Vegas and Paris in addition to in Berlin, where the event debuted in 2011.
