Hackney's Mare Street has been home to London fashion incubator The Trampery for the past two years. The space has hosted designers including James Long, Lou Dalton, Holly Fulton and Jonathan Saunders.

However, last month The Trampery's landlord announced a 400% rent increase starting in September, and the social enterprise has been forced to start looking for a new home.

British Fashion Council CEO Caroline Rush commented: “The Trampery is an incredible facility for start-up and developing designer fashion businesses. Its studio space, shared equipment facility networking spaces make it an ideal place to develop a designer business. Many of the businesses that currently rely on the Trampery are part of London Fashion Week. It is essential to us that the Trampery be found a new home.”

The Trampery has started a Storify page at http://storify.com/TheTrampery/save-the-trampery-fashion-incubator to hopefully find a new space for the incubator.
