Camera della Moda: Mario Boselli to step down as president in April

Mario Boselli has decided to step down from his role as president of the Italian Fashion Chamber (CNMI). The move will be in official effect as of the Italian Fashion Chamber assembly to take place on 15 April, as announced in a press release by the umbrella association of Italy's main fashion houses.

Mario Boselli was first elected to the position on 19 October 1999, succeeding Santo Versace. Now 73, this former textile entrepreneur was previously also the president of different textile organisations, not to mention the president of Pitti Immagine.

The board of directors of the Italian Fashion Chamber has decided at the next assembly to ask that Mario Boselli be named honorary president in charge of promoting business relationships between the Chamber and both national and international (Chinese, Russian, etc.) institutions, states the press release.
