Premium British label Belstaff is mulling an initial public offering, confirmed its CEO and Chairman Gavin Haig to an English newspaper on Friday.

The chief executive told The Independent: “we are exploring the idea of an IPO but with no specific timeline”. Owned by Jab Holding, Belstaff was founded in 1924 in Longton. It is most famous for its waterproof jackets for motorcyclists, but since January 2015 it has also become a London Fashion Week staple.

Haig, who became chief executive of Belstaff in 2014 after a period as Managing Director at Cartier International, also said that the British heritage company transferred its finance offices from Switzerland to London and relocated its trademark back to the UK this month.

The privately-held company expects revenue for the financial year to 31 January 2016 to be 20% higher than last year. Belstaff has five standalone stores in the UK and Ireland, and is looking to open more concessions on the territory this year.
