Bread & Butter to charge entry for some

Published
Jun 5, 2013

Bread & Butter will start charging certain professionals an entrance fee according to the show’s founder Karl-Heinz Müller. Exhibitors, fashion journalists, retailers, buyers and press offices and their clients will still be given free access to the event, but others will have to fork out 500 euros per person to gain entry.

Those targeted by the tariff include those involved in earlier stages of the production chain (sub-contractors, weavers…), press agencies seeking clients, modeling agencies, architects and special interest visitors like rival trade show organizers and promoters.

Bread & Butter also highlighted that owners and employees of vertical fashion businesses such as H&M, Inditex, Primark, Uniqlo, Esprit, etc. will not be allowed access at all. Despite the fact that, for example, much of Esprit’s business is done via multi-brand and department stores.
