The opening is a partnership with Outdoor and Country Retail Ltd, which will own and operate the store on behalf of Barbour as its UK partner. It joins five other Barbour branded retail stores operated by Outdoor and Country Retail in Evesham, Knutsford, Shrewsbury, Street, and Blackbrook.

The store will offer Barbour’s Classic Countrywear, Coastal, Nautical and Tartan Collections alongside footwear, accessories and popular products for dogs over 1,700 square feet of space, located next to T.M. Lewin in the shopping centre.

Outdoor and Country founder, Jonathan Capener, commented, "It’s fantastic to be working together with Barbour to bring the brand’s fabulous range of clothing to the UK’s second city. It’s a great privilege to be able to represent this iconic British brand in such a prime location as Grand Central, Birmingham."

“With access to the largest independent Barbour collection in the country, the recent opening of this store places Grand Central as the go-to destination for Barbour in the West Midlands,” added Iain Mitchell, commercial director at Hammerson.

The shopping centre has also recently seen the opening of Morphe Cosmetics’ first store outside London and second in the UK. Additionally, Christian Louboutin and Gucci have both opened new boutiques at the Selfridges branch at the Bullring.
