BHS.com is making a comeback this Thursday as an online only retailer with a range of lighting, bedroom and bathroom products from 23 UK-based suppliers.

The company, now part of Qatar’s Al Mana Group, plans to roll out further ranges including kitchen and dining ware as well as its clothing ranges in October.

David Anderson, Managing Director, BHS International, said: “A huge amount of work has gone into rebuilding and launching BHS back into the UK as an online retailer.  With a loyal British customer base of well over one million people and the fact that we have secured contracts with so many leading suppliers who are providing products that were among the most popular with our shoppers, we are in the best possible position for launch.”

BHS.com employs 85 people in London, as well as a dedicated team working at Ascenos, a well-known British call centre firm, in Glasgow.

In addition to rolling out its kitchen, dining and clothing ranges next month, BHS.com said it is firmly on track to be ready for the Black Friday and Christmas shopping periods. As part of this, and to ensure the best possible customer experience, it has implemented a new IT platform to support the company’s operations including ecommerce, back office and logistics systems which are fully tested, secure and scalable.

BHS International, which was formed by the Al Mana Group, purchased BHS.com, the international franchise business and the BHS brand in June 2016 after the iconic British retailer collapsed in April.

The British brand plans to return with the most popular products sold online before it went into administration. The new BHS will feature a smaller range of products than it did before.
