The British Fashion Council has launched a new Instagram account, @londonfashionweek, to give followers instant and exclusive access to London’s most prominent fashion events.

Covering both London Fashion Week and London Fashion Week Men’s–the new name for London Collections Men, the content will include year round designer news, live coverage, behind the scene insights and schedule updates.

Caroline Rush CBE, Chief Executive British Fashion Council commented: “London Fashion Week has become an internationally recognised and celebrated event and one of the highlights of the fashion calendar. The British Fashion Council’s aim is to allow people from all over the world to engage with the London Fashion Week content and be part of the city-wide celebration. This is why we felt the need to align our social media channels and create a dedicated Instagram account for the brand that is ‘London Fashion Week’. Our goal has always been to champion British designers, celebrating creativity and business – not only during our events but all year round. The designers showing as part of London Fashion Week continue to be involved in globally exciting projects which we are thrilled to support and promote.”

The British Fashion Council’s Instagram account, @britishfashioncouncil, will continue to be used for news regarding business support initiatives, including LONDON show ROOMS, London Fashion Weekend and The Fashion Awards.

BFC also announced on Thursday the provisional show schedule for the upcoming London Fashion Week September.
