Armani Exchange opens first store outside London

Liverpool One is strengthening its reputation as a top luxury destination with the opening of the first AX | Armani Exchange standalone store outside London.

The 3,169-square-foot boutique opened on Peter’s Lane next to Tessuti on Saturday, joining three further Armani Exchange stores in the UK including a site at York Designer Outlet.

“AX | Armani Exchange complements the lineup on Peter’s Lane, adding another designer store to Liverpool One’s unique offer,” said Alison Clegg, director of asset management at Grosvenor Europe, adding that the signing underscores the shopping centre’s status as “the destination for global brands”.

Indeed, Liverpool One houses several high-end and premium international brands including Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Reiss, Tessuti and Ted Baker. Additionally, Cos has recently opened its first regional store on Peter’s Lane, and Arket is due to open later this year.

A recent study has showed that Liverpool has been the most consistent major regional city in the UK in terms of retail signings over the last ten years, recording the smallest percentage difference between its least active year in 2010 and its 10-year average.

AX | Armani Exchange is Armani Group’s entry-level brand, aimed at young consumers with a lower price point than Emporio Armani. The brand has stores in more than 25 countries, including Belgium, Russia, France, Germany, Spain and Italy.
