Aritzia launches new brand Little Moon

Published
May 10, 2017

Canadian fashion retailer Aritzia launched last week a new brand called Little Moon, marking the introduction of the retailer's second new core brand offering this year.

Aritzia develops its own brands and treats them all as independent labels that each serve their own niche through distinct design traits.

Their latest in-house brand Little Moon is described as “a bold new collection for the expressive woman”. Its inaugural collection is inspired by 1980’s Paris nightlife and features bright satin blouses and bomber jackets, sheer lace bodysuits, as well as vintage-inspired knits. Compared to Aritzia’s current line-up of other in-house brands such as Babaton, Wilfred, TNA, and Talula, to name a few, Little Moon is much more colourful and eclectic.

Most recently, in March, Artizia also introduced The Constant, a technical performance line that embraces today’s popular athleisure craze.

Besides the retailer’s line-up of in-house brands, Artizia also carries a small assortment of outside labels they love such as Canadian outerwear brand Mackage, Adidas, 3.1 Philip Lim, Vans, Calvin Klein and more.

The Vancouver-based retailer was not able to confirm any other new brand launches for the year.

In its last reported quarter however, the retailer did confirm that they are on track to open its planned minimum 25 to 30 new locations in North America, and expect to expand or reposition a minimum of 20 to 25 existing stores between fiscal 2017 and to the end of fiscal 2021.

Aritzia was founded in 1984 and has over 75 retail stores.
