Amazon’s Dash Buttons are now available to use in the UK, announced the e-tailer on Wednesday. The wifi-connected devices are designed to be put around the house to make restocking everyday essentials easier than ever.

The service is available with dozens of top brands, including Air Wick, Andrex, Ariel, Brabantia, Fairy, Finish, Gillette, Huggies, Johnson's Baby, Kleenex, Listerine, NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto, Neutrogena, Nicorette, Olay, Pedigree, Philips Sonicare, Rimmel, Vanish, Whiskas, Wilkinson, and more.

When a customer runs out of a household product, they can use a Dash Button to select the product they want to reorder. With this service, customers enjoy the same low prices available on Amazon and have some time to easily review or cancel the order. Every Dash Button costs £4.99 and comes with a reusable adhesive and a removable hook to hang, stick, or place it wherever each customer wants it to go.

Amazon today also announced availability of Amazon Dash Replenishment Service (DRS), which is a cloud-based service that allows device makers to enable their connected devices to automatically reorder physical goods from Amazon —for example, a washing machine that reorders laundry detergent or a printer that reorders ink.

"We've all experienced the frustration of running out of something we need—Dash Button and Dash Replenishment Service are designed to make that moment a thing of the past," said Daniel Rausch, Director of Amazon Dash. "Dash Buttons offer the convenience of 1-Click shopping from anywhere in the home—they can be placed near those frequently used items you don't want to run out of, and when you see supplies running low, the Dash Button makes it easier than ever to order more. Just press the button and your item is on its way."

The service was first tested in the US, where it has seen continued growth. The number of brands, orders and items have all increased and in the last two months, Dash Button orders have increased by 3 times. Orders via Dash devices are now taking place at a rate of over twice a minute in the US, Amazon said.
