The company received 64,000 orders between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and more than 1,400 orders were packed every hour during peak times. In total, it delivered 40 tonnes of beauty products and perfumes.

Fragrances accounted for 55% of Black Friday sales, with Calvin Klein’s Euphoria Eau de Parfum boosting the shopping bonanza as the site’s most popular fragrance.

In a previous report, Allbeauty had said it expected sales to hit over £1 million during Black Friday.

Chief operating officer of Allbeauty, Janice Mancini, said: “This year’s Black Friday to Cyber Monday was another record-breaking weekend for Allbeauty. The season has well and truly started so the challenge now is to keep up the great work by our fantastic team and make sure our customers have a very happy Christmas!"

Allbeauty expects annual turnover to reach £75 million in 2017. It stocks products from top brands including Elizabeth Arden, Benefit, Burberry, DKNY, L'Occitane, Penhaligon’s, Redken, Shiseido and Vichy.

Earlier this year, the e-tailer was named Which? 2017 Best Online Shop in the UK for the second year running, beating well-established brands such as John Lewis, Superdrug and M&S.

Allbeauty.com is owned by IEB group, and employs 120 people in Guernsey and England.
