Chanel has offered a taste of the visuals to come in its much-awaited campaign for its 'Gabrielle Chanel' perfume, which launches September 1. The French fashion house's longstanding ambassador Kristen Stewart will represent the new fragrance in a campaign shot by photographer Karim Sadli.

Named after the designer and founder of the rue Cambon fashion house, 'Gabrielle Chanel' is the first women's fragrance to be launched by the French luxury brand since Chance in 2003.

With only a few weeks left to go before its September launch, Chanel has released a visual from the campaign that will be spearheaded by Stewart, the brand's ambassador since 2013.

Initially approached by the fashion house to promote its fashion and accessory collections, the star of "Twilight" has also played an important role in Chanel's beauty campaigns. She recently also posed for the 'Gabrielle' Chanel bag alongside Pharrell Williams, Caroline de Maigret and Cara Delevingne.

The campaign stills will be shot by photographer Karim Sadli, and the commercial, which is set to air in September, will be directed by Ringan Ledwidge.

The perfume is structured around notes of ylang-ylang, jasmine, orange blossom and tuberose. As the name suggests, the 'Gabrielle Chanel' perfume, which was concocted by Chanel 'nose' Olivier Polge, pays homage to the founder of the brand. It aims to appeal to today's courageous, daring and passionate women with strong characters.

The fragrance will go on sale on September 1. Prices start at €97 for 50ml.
